Gettin' It

As I have previously mentioned, I am on a mission to clean my soul. I tried to get my good ol' friend Mike Anastasia on the mission with me last week by saying, "Michael, want to clean your soul with me?" and he said, "Nope, I like it as black as can be." and I said, "I don't." I don't.

So, to do this, I've been doing things like reading Self Magazine and I've been getting Real Simple tips & quotes sent to my work email. I've been dedicating myself 10 minutes a day to do something I enjoy doing. And no, that doesn't just mean m-bating. It means, having dinner or lunch with friends I like being with, dressing fashionably, telling geeky stories, saying "WALLL-EEEE" repetetively, and doing improv. In fact, I've been working so hard on it this week that I had one of the best shows I've had in a long time last night. I came in, had a positive attitude with my teammates, and did fun warm ups, and had a good time. I had the large-and-in-charge ladies of Section 1 in hysterics. I'm so hysterical!

But I just read a sad story about living life to its fullest - and living everyday like it's your last. Now, that's not my mentality... because I live everday holding grudges from yesterday & opting to stay home in bed than go out with people (well, not everyday...) But I read it, because it's a philosophy of someone who I'm sure has a clean soul. Grr, clean soul lady!

These are the four questions we're supposed to ask ourselves. . .
Do I know what really matters to me?
Do I know what brings me joy?
Are there things in my life that need to go to make room for what's important?
What am I waiting for?
I don't know.

Eh, whatever, I'll get there when I get there.
