Irish Catholic Syndrome

"The negative side of being Irish is that a Jewish person might say 'Oh, Conan, I knew him in high school, and now look how well he's done.' Whereas an Irish person might say, 'Yeah, I knew him when he was in a cold-water flat in Somerville. He was nothing. ' That negativity gives you the strength of humility. You're not supposed to be the most important person in the world, and you don't ever think that you are."
- Rev. Paul O'Brien (a friend of Conan O'Brien, and pastor of St. Patrick's Parish in Lawrence, Mass.)

Um, yes! So very true.

I love Conan.
Here's a good article about him in Rolling Stone.
I'm awesome at reviewing things. . . a "good article". Insightful!
