Living Like You're Dying.

I feel like I'm the oldest almost-25-year-old I know. I like drinking, but not as much as I hate hangovers/the way drinking makes people act. {And by people, I mean me.} When I'm going out, I'd rather it be the local bar we always go to {Goody's} or my friends' apartment with less than 10 people there. If going to a bar where the windows are steamy because of the number of people grinding inside is the option - no thanks, I'd rather paint my nails or something. Does that mean I'm not living my life to the fullest?

When I have no plans or improv, I choose to spend my time streaming nothing important {except iCarly, that is important} on Netflix, lighting a candle that smells like a mountain, and taking a sleeping pill or 2 so I can pass out around 10 with a cat on my head. I'm not a total loser - sometimes I use my time productively and write hilarious sketches or perform in comedy shows or have dinner with friends or overdraft my bank account. But, a lot of the time, I'm lame.

This probably isn't the worst thing in the world. I've gone out and done the "wild and crazy youth" thing. I've blacked out and not remembered telling all my friends they hate me, I've drunk texted, I've passed out in too many embarassing/dangerous places {by dangerous I mean "somewhere outside" more than "on the edge of a cliff overlooking an alligator swamp"}, I've done the walk/cab ride of shame, and I've stayed in bed all day long afraid to move out of fear of throwing up.  So, I'm wondering, how many bad/"youthful" experiences does one need to have before realizing it's time to move on?

I'm going to be honest with you. If I were going to die tomorrow, I would rather spend tonight catching up on the great 90's television I missed out on because I was too busy wearing Daffy Duck t-shirts than get sexually molested to the soothing sounds of Sean Paul at a sweaty club. So the answer to nobody's question is yes! I am living my life to the fullest. And it involves blankets and sometimes pizza.
