"Over It"

Do you ever wish you had a HUGE stamp that just said "OVER IT" and you could take out a person's file and just stamp it?

No?  Me neither.

I'm over it, though!  I really am!

I'm over people who say, "You hate me."  Do I?  Do you want me to tell you that I hate you?  Hate is a strong word.  I don't hate anybody... nobody has done anything awful enough for me to hate them.  Except, like, people I don't know... like murderers and O.J. Simpson.  But... no, person who I rarely talk to and have no beef with, I don't hate you.  I might not talk to you every five seconds, but that doesn't mean I don't like you.  I'm not being bitchy, I'm shy.  I'm a little anti-social.  I get real awkward in conversations with people I'm not super familiar with.  Do you want to hear that, too?  I don't hate you.  But FINE, now I do, because you keep putting me in this weird position!

I'm over people who say, "If one more person does this then I'm going to blow them up, etc."  Do you know you're in control of what you read/hear/see?  If someone on your Facebook timeline is annoying and complains about their kids/job/etc... fix it.  Unfriend them, don't subscribe to their posts, avoid the negativity they bring to your life!  If people take "selfies," unfollow or don't look at them.  Keep on scrolling.  De-clutter your life with the stuff that annoys you.  Unless you really just love to complain, in which case, STAMP! OVER IT.

And I'm over people who hate on a certain type of person.  For example, Zooey Deschanel.  I'm not going to pretend that I don't love her and her doe eyes and her perfect liquid eyeliner and hair and style.  I love that she plays ukelele and sings songs on YouTube and wanted to be in a band, so she started a band and wanted to start a blog, so she did.  She probably listens to music on giant headphones wearing a red cardigan while riding a vintage Schwinn... and that's okay with me.  She represents a whole subculture of girls who do the same things because they like it.  It makes them happy.  There's so many people who hate on "indie girls" and Zooey because she's annoying and tries too hard and acts like a child... but why does it matter, honestly?  If I want to listen to records because it makes me feel old-school and get tattoos and style my bangs how I style them... who cares!  It might not be the most original look and style, but it sure makes me feel good and confident.

I don't know, today I'm just feeling over it.  Over people who complain about things they can fix and hate on people for no reason whatsoever except that it "annoys" them.  Like my good friends, Andre 3000 and Big Boi said, "I know you like to think your shit don't stink, but lean a little bit closer see, roses really smell like poopoo."  Yeah, I think that's the most clear way for me to say that.
