November to Remember.

I have been sitting at a desk every day for the past two weeks.  I don't know how people do this every day!  I don't know how I did it every day for four years!  Sitting all day HURTS!  My back hurts, my legs hurt... everything needs to be stretched.  It's the worst.

I have been killing November so far though!  Killing in the good way... as if that is a real thing.  I decided after work on Tuesday that I would get into the holiday spirit extra, extra early and go to Target to pick up some decorations... and I did.  And I decorated my room.  With stockings!  And lights!  And some glittery gold stars and ornaments!  It makes my room feel festive and special and is making me smile ALL THE TIME, so I don't care.  I DON'T.  I even watched "A Muppet Christmas Carol" while doing it.  So take that.

I also spent last Saturday doing something way out of my comfort zone, or even just way out of my realm of possibility:  I woke up at 7:30am and went to Fenway Park with my boyfriend and his cousin to see the Red Sox leave the park for their World Series parade!  It was actually pretty cool.  I have now been to Fenway three times, and only one time was for a (weird, rainy) game.  The other time was for the premiere of the movie "Fever Pitch" starring Jimmy Fallon.  I really like him.  Back then, I was obsessed with him.  On Saturday, it was fun!  I wore a Red Sox shirt and listened to the Dropkick Murphy's perform live.  Then I got on the train and listened to Katy Perry... so... you can give the girl new things to try, but you can't change a girl in a day.

Also here are some things that have made me happy, or just kept me busy while I worked all day:

1. 1960's rock and soul music.  I've had my Spotify playing all the live long day... and I've discovered some new (to me) music that I really like.  For instance, I've never really listened to the Stones before... but now I've been obsessed with them.  They're great sprinkled in with some Otis Redding and Ray Charles.

2. Katy Perry.  Her new album is the best.  She's just my favorite.  Have you seen her documentary?  It will just make you cry.  My favorite songs are, "Roar" (that's just a given) "Walking on Air" (so 90's!) and "This Is How We Do."

3. Writing sketches for the upcoming holiday show I'm preparing for.  I've never been so prepared for a revue process in my life.  But what can I say?  I really, really love Christmas.  And I can't wait until this weekend, when I can cozy up with my giant sweater, light my pine-scented candle and watch "Love, Actually" and "Christmas Vacation" and write more sketches!

4. Pinning.  There's something about being at a desk all day that makes me want to pin things on Pinterest.  Like I'm stuck creatively so I look at all these other fun, awesome things that I want to do!   Outside of this desk, I don't want to make owls out of buckets... but while I'm here, it's ALL I want to do.  I want to make so many bucket owls!! (That is not a real thing.)

I'm going to go pin more and listen to Katy Perry... goodbye. Happy Christmas!

Also, I am kinda obsessed with Katy Perry too. So much so, I went as her for Halloween this year. My favorite song so far is Dark Horse. I like that it's kind of a departure for her.
