I'm in L.A!
Sorry about the lack of posting... as you know, I moved to Los Angeles this week!
It has been a pretty busy week of apartment hunting, job hunting, palm tree hunting... you know, the works. I need to see those trees! There's one right outside the window of the place I'm staying this week. When I left Boston, it was like two degrees! Take that!
The night we got to L.A., Casey picked us up from the airport blasting "Human Nature" by Michael Jackson and then took us to our friend Matt's apartment where all my friends were waiting to say hello. It was really, really nice. In fact, it made everything feel a lot better and REAL. I got to see some faces I haven't seen in a while and laugh at old bits with some great friends. I'm really excited to be settled here finally and start a brand new chapter of my life... in a very warm city.
Also, Matt took us around the neighborhoods the next day and then we drove to North Hollywood to get pizza and see a movie. We saw "Wolf of Wall Street" and Josh from "30 Rock" was sitting next to us... so, yeah, HOLLYWOOD!
It's been trying, for sure, but I know it's worth it. I miss everyone. I miss doing bits. I miss performing comedy with my friends. But the end result (basically, anything past this really stressful week) is going to be great. And I feel like I've grown up a whole lot just by doing this all so fast and quick. For example, I ate an egg today. A whole egg. It was an egg white in a breakfast sandwich (with turkey bacon) (because we're in healthy L.A.) and I really didn't hate it. In fact, I kind of enjoyed it. In fact, I kind of had energy after. Like good energy. From protein. And, well, clearly I've changed. See you guys.
